A new landmark emerges in Devonport

Devonport Church of Christ is located at the intersection of Steele and William Streets Devonport. Located opposite a KFC and Hungry Jacks it is one of the busiest intersections in the city.  Senior Minister Blake Moore (pictured) and the team have worked tirelessly through three years of planning and stewardship and a further year of construction to ensure the development is completed in 2021.  Devonport’s “Daring Faith” giving program demonstrated the faithfulness and generosity of God’s people, raising more than half of the $1.50m required to complete the project. CCFS was delighted to partner with the church to provide the balance of the funding for what will be a landmark in the city of Devonport.

The project includes the renovation of the existing interior and exterior spaces as well as a range of new multi-purpose facilities, foyer extension, offices, outdoor BBQ area and a children’s play area that makes those at KFC and Hungry Jacks look second rate. Blake has installed a glass wall and spotlight to ensure everyone who passes by knows about it too!

He says “We are grateful for God’s provision and how these buildings will serve our community and advance the Kingdom of God.” Thanks to you Blake and the team for allowing CCFS to be part of the story.
